Merewether Beach is a well loved stretch of the local coastline. Once upon a time there was only Bitou Bush on the dunes but now thanks to the efforts of several local coastcare groups native vegetation is once again holding the dunes in place. The main task we tackle is the ongoing replacement of local weeds such as Gazania and Bitou Bush with local coastal native plants. If you’re interested make sure you've been in for an induction and book a seat on the bus. Volunteer inductions happen every Wednesday at 10am to give you an overview of the organisation and the OH & S issues at TIN.
