Coastcaring at King Edward Park

King Edward Park and Shepherds Hill are iconic Newcastle parks with a long histories and great views. Coastcaring here provides a great way to learn about bush regeneration and what it takes to look after a Threatened Ecological Community, the Themda Grasslands on the seacliffs. It is the location of TIN's National Tree Day plantings and is a park in transition.Now the Bitou Bush has been put under control follow up weeding and biodiversity boosting are the main aims of the days. If you’re interested make sure you've been in for an induction and book a seat on the bus. Volunteer inductions happen every Wednesday at 10am to give you an overview of the organisation and the OH & S issues at TIN.
