The week long sale will have thousands of plants on offer at 30-50% off the normal price. There'll be free plants for purchases over $50 and freebies that need a bit of extra care for those with a bit of a green thumb. TIN grows local native plants, the kind that grow out in the bush, the tough types that don't need too much extra attention, the luscious types that the local wildlife like to dip their beaks and bits into for a healthy meal. Merewether Beach is a well loved stretch of the local coastline. Once upon a time there was only Bitou Bush on the dunes but now thanks to the efforts of several local coastcare groups native vegetation is once again holding the dunes in place. The main task we tackle is the ongoing replacement of local weeds such as Gazania and Bitou Bush with local coastal native plants.If you’re interested make sure you've been in for an induction and book a seat on the bus. Volunteer inductions happen every Wednesday at 10am to give you an overview of the organisation and the OH & S issues at TIN.
