TIN will be lending several hands to support one of Newcastle's longest running landcare groups. The Claremont Reserve Bushcare group have been looking after this pretty patch of near-perfect bushland since the mid 1990s.
TIN volunteers will be lending a hand to do a bit of weeding in the Spotted Gum Ironbark Open forest. This is a very common vegetation community around the slopes of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie so it's also a great opportunity to learn a little bit more about the local bushland, the weeds that sneak in and how to remove them with minimal disturbance.
