Merewether Beach was once covered only in Bitou Bush but now thanks to the efforts of several local coastcare groups native vegetation is once again holding the dunes in place.

The main task we tackle is the ongoing replacement of local weeds such as Gazania and Bitou Bush with local coastal native plants.
