SUMMARY:Coastcaring at Shepherds Hill
DESCRIPTION:At Shepherds Hill volunteers are removing Bitou Bush and reestablishing an endangered coastal plant community\, the Themeda grasslands on Seacliffs.

They are planting back native vegetation that will thrive and survive in the harsh coastal conditions\, stabilise the slopes and provide habitat for native birds and wildlife.

The 2010 coastal projects will continue to build on and enhance the volunteer work carried out between 2007 &amp\; 2009\, making the most out of the previous years’ efforts.
SUMMARY:Coastcaring at King Edward Park
DESCRIPTION:King Edward Park has a long histories and great views. Coastcaring here provides a great way to learn about bush regeneration and what it takes to look after a Threatened Ecological Community\, the Themda Grasslands on the seacliffs and coastal headlands. It is the location of TIN's National Tree Day plantings.

For the coastal projects in 2010\, TIN is continuing to work at King Edward Park\, Shepherds Hill\, Merewether Beach and Burwood Beach.
SUMMARY:Coastcaring at Burwood Beach
DESCRIPTION:Burwood Beach is the coastal part of Glenrock State Conservation Area. In the past\, this bit of beach had its foredunes covered by Bitou Bush.

Several years of efforts by coastal volunteers banishing Bitou Bush are making a difference to the varierty of coastal plants that now call Burwood Beach their home. This regeneration project still has a long way to go and you can be a part of its transformation.
SUMMARY:TIN Committee meeting
DESCRIPTION:TIN committee meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month\, except in December and January.

TIN is a community not-for profit group. Its strategic direction is guided by a Committee. Any member of TIN is welcome to come along and participate in the discussions that direct the organisation.

Being involved in TIN's committee is mentally stimulating and intellectually satisfying.

The Committee sets the strategic direction of the organisation\, the budget and generally keeps the good ship TIN pointing in the right direction.
SUMMARY:Coastcaring at Merewether Beach
DESCRIPTION:

Merewether Beach was once covered only in Bitou Bush but now thanks to the efforts of several local coastcare groups native vegetation is once again holding the dunes in place.

The main task we tackle is the ongoing replacement of local weeds such as Gazania and Bitou Bush with local coastal native plants.
