TIN's Events and Workshops for 2009

Trees In Newcastle is much more than a local native plant nursery, we also provide bush regeneration services and are a volunteer & education centre. We have several qualified trainers and love sharing our passion, knowledge and resources about anything with a botanical bent. We have a varied workshop programme planned for the year, have a look and don't forget to book, places fill fast.

Biodiversity Month Landcare Week 20th Anniversary Local Natives Plant Sale

September 10th-16th from 9am-5pm. Week long plant sale celebrating 20 years of Trees In Newcastle & 20 years of Landcare held at  TIN’s 252 Parry Street Nursery.

Trees In Newcastle celebrates 20 years with a combined Family Friendly Open Day with Newcastle Community Arts Centre…A growing community.

National Tree Day ...get growing, plant early ,plant often.

TIN's annual planting additions to King Edward Park are on again for Schools Tree Day on Friday 31st July and National Tree Day on Sunday 2nd August from 9am till noon.

National Tree Day keeps growing bigger each year. We had over 170 people come along last year, we put on a BBQ and it's a great family morning, with 5000 plants to get in, plant early and plant often!

Trees In Newcastle (TIN) will be showing off the efforts of the volunteer coastcaring crew these holidays with family-friendly, guided, scenic strolls from Merewether Beach to Burwood Beach and around King Edward Park.

Three for all to Clean Up Throsby Creek on Sunday 1st March

Trees In Newcastle, The Wilderness Society and Newcastle Rowing Club will all have their volunteer crews out on Sunday 1st to Clean Up Throsby Creek foreshore and around the Carrington mangroves.

Special Signs for Santa’s helpers

Community artists from Neami’s H’Art studio have been working overtime to present Trees In Newcastle with new nursery signs in time for the one day pre-Santa sale on Tuesday 23rd December.
