Port Stephens Council has contracted TIN for a variety of projects across the Shire since 2000. Sites in which bush regeneration has been undertaken include Taylors Beach Regeneration Project 2000-2008, Mambo Wetland Restoration Program 04-current, Dutchmans Bay, Fingal Bay, Fly Point, Seaham Hill, Stoney Ridge and West Point, Green Play Point, Anzac Park, Corlette Point, Anna Bay, Fingal Bay, Windeyers Creek Raymond Terrace, Boat Harbour and Dunmore Bridge Woodville. Many of the areas worked in Port Stephens abut parcels of land managed by NPWS.
Ecotypes Covered: Coastal Heath and Forest, Dune, Wetland emerging Littoral Rainforest (EEC), Gahnia Swamp Forest (EEC), Coastal Sand Apple-Blackbutt Forest, Sydney Estuary Swamp Forest Complex (EEC).
Summary of Works: Hand removal of weeds, backpack spraying, trials with control of Salvinia, vegetation surveys and mapping, management plans for future regeneration programs, preparing site for planting, and erosion control measures, releasing an emerging littoral rainforest from vine suppression.
