From Go Green to GreenCare Kids

The Go Green story is an inspirational tale with a great ending that is also a new beginning. The Go Green project supported the development and distribution of integrated curriculum resources, in-servicing of teachers and the provision of specialist educators to share best practice sustainability resources throughout the region.

By the end of the project a Regional Green Care Community Centre was established at Holy Family School. Overlooking the constructed wetland and outfitted with state-of-the-art sustainability solutions, the centre is accessible to every school within the region to experience hands-on activities within a school environment.

Sharing the successes of the Go Green project has been an important vehicle to raise awareness, build networks and ensure the inclusiveness of sustainability education across the region. The purpose of this case study is to outline the process, programs and progress of Going Green that created Green Caring Kids.
