Our People
Our highly qualified and experienced nursery crew are involved in all aspects of nursery operations. Volunteers are the backbone of the propagation process and interesting conversation abounds around the propagation tables as the plants are potted on.
Barb Nanshe – Nursery Manager
QUALIFICATIONS: Certificate IV Horticulture; Certificate II Conservation & Land Management; OH&S Certificate; Senior First Aid; Certificate II Organic Farming
Barb is a Tasmanian who settled in the Hunter and has been with TIN since December 1997. Previous employers include the Hunter Catchment Management Trust, Greening Australia and Urban Bushland Management. Barb and her partner own 115 acres at Martin’s Creek, where they practice small-scale organic farming and permaculture. They manage their land as a conservation santuary. Barb is also successful a sculptor and jewellerymaker and exhibits in galleries across Australia. She likes to be busy and creative.
