Jenny Robinson – Environmental Education Manager
Qualifications: Bachelor of Visual Arts, Graduate Diploma of Adult Education.
Jenny’s work focuses on building knowledge and skills through action learning. She has worked for TIN since 2000, sharing her passion for connecting students to their community through Landcare.
Jenny has established a nursery for indigenous plants at her local school where primary students grow and supply up to 10,000 indigenous plants a year and participate in Coastcare at Merewether Beach. The school has been retrofitted to capture and reuse rainwater for the nursery. The grounds feature a constructed wetland and frog habitat. Jenny’s experience in a school setting makes her a wealth of knowledge for school-based projects.
Suzanne Pritchard
Qualifications: Bachelor Of Science (Biology); Bachelor of Arts( Communication Studies), Graduate Diploma in Education (Science); Certificate 4 Conservation & Land Management; Certificate 4 Workplace Training and Assessment; Certificate 4 Small Business (Administration); Certificate 4 Small Business (Governance).
Suzanne has been involved in local community organisations since 1995. Her commitment to the preservation of local bushland and strong community ethic saw her take on the role of President of the Coal Point Progress Association whilst her family was young. This experience led to employment with Lake Macquarie City Council as a Landcare Community Support Officer, helping lay the foundations of landcaring in Lake Macquarie. Suzanne has been Communications Officer since 2005. She is a talented communicator and educator, and created most of TIN’s education resources. She also provdes administrative support for our General Manager and the Committee.
Trees In Newcastle’s General Manager also has a strong background in environmental education, environmental interpretation and ecotourism.
