Membership

TIN is a not-for-profit community organisation managed by a committee for the members.

Becoming a member of Trees in Newcastle is one way of lending your support to improve the local environment of the Lower Hunter by planting local native plants and learning about bush regeneration.

Membership (prices from 1st July 2011):

Counter Carbon Membership   

$55

Standard membership gives you 5 free trees, shrubs or ground-covers of your choice - an inexpensive way to establish a native garden or improve the air quality of your street.

Counter Carbon Membership provides 17 trees, shrubs or ground-covers. Seventeen trees will offset the greenhouse gases of an average car for one year.

As a member of Trees in Newcastle you will also receive:

  • The opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops and hands-on activities including seed collection, plant propagation, tree planting and community education projects.
  • A regular e-newsletter full of news, information, updates and tips to inspire the environmentally aware.
  • Genuine wholesale prices on a wide range of local native trees, shrubs, grasses and groundcovers.
  • Free information and advice on growing native plants and selecting the appropriate species for your site.
