Corporate Planting Days

We can provide a fully supervised session for corporate teams to:

  • Plant local natives to boost biodiversity
  • Control Bitou Bush to allow for coastal regeneration
  • Collect native seed for our nursery
  • Lending a hand in the nursery with a variety of propagation tasks
  • Participate in National Tree Day and Clean Up Australia Day events

Business Sponsorship of Biodiversity in Schools

TIN delivers the highly acclaimed Biodiversity In Schools (BIS) program in Newcastle and currently the Landcare For Youth (L4Y) initiative in Lake Macquarie.

Business sponsorship of these programs enables TIN sustainability educators to visit schools across the region and assist in:

  • 'Learnscape' designs for school grounds such as frog ponds, worm farms, bushtucker gardens and bird & butterfly havens.
  • Planting projects where additional assistance from volunteers can give the students a helping hand.
  • Species selection so that the right plants are in the right place.
  • The development of School Environmental Management Plans.
  • Curriculum support with resources.
